Last updated October 24, 2026. Short version: browsing needs no account and no tracking; we keep only what running the site requires.
Who is responsible
MakerNew is run by a sole proprietor in Houston, Texas, USA. Questions or requests: hello@makernew.com.
Browsing the site
- The subscription receipt is calculated in your browser. The apps you tap are not sent to us.
- We use no advertising trackers, analytics cookies or tracking pixels. Sponsor ads are counted by our own server as anonymous totals per day (impressions and clicks), not per person; so are receipt downloads and share-text copies.
- We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and popular pages. It sets no cookies and doesn't track you across sites.
- Your browser may remember your light or dark theme choice in local storage; it never leaves your device.
What we collect when you contact us
- Listing your app: the app details you enter and your email address, so we can tell you when it's listed.
- Reporting a wrong price: the app, the price you saw and the link you give us.
- Maker accounts: your email address, and a session cookie (
__Host-mn_session, 30 days) that keeps you signed in. Sign-in links and sessions are stored only as one-way hashes. - Sponsor slots: the ad you submit (text, link, image) and the booking details. Card payments are handled by Stripe; we never see or store your card number.
- Abuse prevention: to limit form spam we count submissions per IP address per hour. The address is stored only as a one-way hash and the count is deleted within a few hours.
Who processes data for us
- Cloudflare hosts the site and its database and stores ad images. Like any host, it keeps short-lived request logs (including IP addresses) to run and protect its network.
- Stripe processes payments and refunds.
- Brevo sends our emails (sign-in links and booking notices).
- Google (Gemini) reads public pricing pages for our price checks. No personal data is sent to it.
We don't sell personal data, and we don't share it with anyone else except where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
- Sign-in links: deleted a day after they expire (they work for 15 minutes). Sessions: removed when they expire or you sign out.
- Account email, listings and submissions: until you ask us to delete them.
- Bookings and payment records: as long as tax and accounting rules require.
Your choices
You can ask us to see, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you by emailing hello@makernew.com from the address on your account. We'll answer within 30 days. Records we must keep for tax or accounting are kept until we no longer have to.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
